For an extended shelf life, we advise storing them in the freezer and removing as needed. By following these storage recommendations, you can expect the treats to last for 2-3 weeks in a dark cool place and up to 6 months in the freezer. This ensures that your furry friends can continue to enjoy our high-quality treats for an extended period.
  • What is the difference between semi-dehydrated, dehydrated, and air-dried pet treats?
    At Leash & Treat, we offer a variety of pet treats that are either semi-dehydrated, dehydrated, or air-dried. These methods involve removing moisture from the ingredients to make them shelf-stable and ready for consumption. Air-drying, dehydrating are both ways to achieve this, with the main difference being the specific process used. When ingredients are air-dried, they are dried / cooked at a very low heat below 40 degrees, ensuring that the raw ingredients are gently and slowly dried out, preserving their nutrients and natural flavors. This method is popular because it allows the ingredients to retain more of their original nutritional content and natural taste. In contrast, dehydrated and semi-dehydrated treats involve the use of higher temperatures to remove moisture from the ingredients. While this can alter the nutritional content and natural flavors to some extent, it creates a different texture and taste that some pets may prefer. Regardless of the method used, all our dehydrated, semi-dehydrated, and air-dried treats are carefully selected to provide your pets with high-quality, nutritious, and delicious options that cater to their health and dietary needs.
